🔥Copilot v2

Colosseum released Copilot v2, a skill for coding agents that pressure-tests a startup idea against past hackathon submissions.

With Frontier's 2,858 projects added, it now covers 8,286 submissions across five Colosseum hackathons. It's free with a Colosseum account and works with Claude Code, Codex, and other agents that support skills.

Every project is sorted into categories and tagged with the tools it used, so an agent can spot trends across hackathons

An agent can also read a builder's own Colosseum projects and drafts and point out what's weak before submission, recommend tools from Colosseum's resources hub, and answer questions about judging and the accelerator from Colosseum's FAQs.

Premium data from sources like Nansen comes through Frames. Copilot asks before each charge, and Frames gives 3,000 free credits a month.

🔀Titan Swap API

Titan opened the Titan Swap API to the public through a new self-serve Developer Portal. Any Solana developer can now create an API key, and request quotes from the routing engine behind Titan's own swaps.

Titan is a meta-aggregator, so it collects quotes from DEX aggregators and RFQ providers and picks the best one. Every quote runs through Argos, Titan's routing engine, which Titan's docs say resolves price impact across pools without splitting liquidity into percentage buckets or leaving sources out.

The portal has four REST endpoints, all GET requests.

The main one, /quote/swap, takes an input token, an output token, an amount, and the wallet that will sign the swap, then returns quoted routes with the instructions to execute them.

The other three are /info for the protocol version and parameter bounds, /venues for the venue labels a request can filter by, and /providers for the providers currently quoting.

The free Sandbox plan covers testing, and paid plans run from $25 to $500 a month.

Titan Genesis 50 gives the first 50 organizations to buy a Build, Scale, or Growth plan 25% off the base subscription for 12 months, with one seat per organization. The offer closes October 23, or sooner if the seats fill.

Titan lists Backpack, Solflare, MetaMask, Kamino, Loopscale, Trojan, LI.FI, Photon, and Wormhole among the teams using its routing. The portal arrives weeks after 0x opened its Solana Swap API in beta, with Titan among that API's closed-beta routers.

✅ BAM Attestations

Jito's Block Assembly Marketplace (BAM) laid out its plan for attestations, cryptographic proofs issued by the Trusted Execution Environments (TEEs) where BAM Nodes run. An attestation lets a validator confirm a node is running unmodified source code with the proper TEE configuration.

TLS, which proves a node's identity to a validator before any data flows, is live on all mainnet BAM Nodes, with certificates issued and renewed automatically. The BAM Registry tells validators which nodes are healthy, and it's in internal testing on testnet. Certificates bind to IP addresses instead of DNS names, so an operator doesn't need a DNS provider to run a node.

A dishonest node could forward a validator's request to an honest node and pass that node's report back as its own. To close that gap, each report is bound to a fresh nonce from the validator and the TLS session's key material, and that binding is now in internal testing.

Next, the Registry moves to mainnet, validator connections become TLS-only, and attestations open to the public alongside the open-sourced scheduling code.

🎓 Solana Scholars

Solana announced Solana Scholars, funded 3-month research internships for PhD students. Scholars work directly with Solana engineers and researchers on consensus, networking, cryptography, and economics.

Topics are scoped to what the protocol needs next. The research is carried out in close collaboration with the people building the system, with the goal that it ends up in production.

Applicants should be in a PhD program in distributed systems, networking, cryptography, economics, or a neighboring field, and have already published at scientific conferences. Internships run on-site, with Zurich and New York given as examples, or virtually, and admissions are rolling.

🏛️Metaplex MPL-3643

Metaplex released MPL-3643, a permissioned token standard for real-world assets and tokenized securities on Solana. It's live on mainnet in limited-access alpha, unaudited, and listed as Experimental on Metaplex's Stability Index.

Metaplex calls it the ERC-3643 equivalent for Solana, built as four programs on top of Token Extentions, Token ACL, and the Solana Attestation Service:

  • Identity Registry: wallet claims by topic (KYC, AML, residency, accreditation, sanctions screening) and the attestors trusted to issue them
  • Compliance Module: holder caps, country allow and deny lists, lockups, volume limits, and blackout windows
  • Gate Program: decides whether an account can be thawed or must be re-frozen
  • Lifecycle Manager: vesting, yield distribution, corporate actions, and recovery

Where ERC-3643 checks compliance inside every transfer, MPL-3643 checks when an account is thawed or re-frozen. Every token account starts frozen, only eligible wallets can thaw one, and transfers between thawed accounts are ordinary Token-2022 transfers.

Developers building wallets, venues, or apps that move MPL-3643 tokens get TypeScript and Rust SDKs with alpha access. Wallet and venue integrators need to show users frozen accounts, thaw flows, and rejection reasons.
